Top 5 College and NFL

Top 5 College Football Teams

1. Oregon - Only because Oregon's wins come in a more convincing fashion than LSU's.

2. LSU - Not far behind Oregon, but inconsistency at WR and QB may haunt them.  There also seems to be a curse at the #1 spot this year, just ask the LSU team from a few weeks ago

3. Oklahoma - Will need a lot of help in order to make it to New Orleans, but a better than good chance to win the Big 12.

4. West Virginia - Tough test this week against Connecticut.  Never thought I would say that in regards to College Football.

5. Kansas - Very Very hesitant to put Kansas here.  Their wins don't impress me, mainly because the Big 12 doesn't impress me this year, minus OU.  But they are the only undefeated left.

Top 5 Pro Teams

1. New England - Don't forsee this changing for the rest of the year

2. Pittsburgh - Overcoming the deficit against the upstart Browns was impressive.

3. Indianapolis - Could easily be undefeated, but injuries and 2 straight brutal losses drops them to the 3 spot.

4. Green Bay - Brett Favre is better now than he was when he was winning MVP's.  Apparently Ryan Grant is better than LT, after rushing for over 100 against the Vikings when LT was held in check.

5. Dallas - If they shore up the secondary, then they'll be a contender for the Super Bowl.

I would say this article should be revived at the end of the season so none of us will have any more surprises heading our way (things like nation's #2 getting upset by an unranked team) as far as the ranking given above i think LSU, so far, seems to win out over Oregon with consistency, which is something many teams don't have this year. And Pitt losing to the NYJets? i know Mike Greenberg will be pleased but lack of consistencies seems to fall in more than just NCAAF teams.

I cant list out top 5's but LSU and Pats are #1's in my book because, again, they are consistent.

I'm glad I have the opportunity to revise this every week. Oregon drops out in college and Pittsburgh drops out in pros in a big upset. This is one of the most exciting college football seasons I can remember and I can only forsee it getting better.
